While I 100% agree with easy access to contraception, I am concerned about the health risks here. It's a lot to ask of pharmacists and I'm annoyed at the shift of medical care that's happened because we can't access our GPs. There's little doubt that pharmacists will soon be as overwhelmed as GPs are, if they aren't already.

My concern is - Who's going to do the health pre-screenings? If a young woman suffers from migraines, most docs would advise against the pill, or at least limit the choices.

If a woman is taking the pill for the first time, who is going to monitor any side effects? A year before seeing a doctor is too long.
