When women talk about women being raped, murdered etc, they're not ever saying it ONLY happens to them.

If you said ONLY gay men knew what it was like to be worry about being date raped, you'd be factually incorrect. Personally, I wouldn't bother correcting such a fallacy, but that's not the same scenario as I discuss in the piece, which is simply women trying to talk about women's fears and not having a competition about who else experienced it.
