When I hear that society (or any part of it) was 'built by men', inferring that either women should be thankful or that it's in men's nature, I always think - Well, that's very convenient. Men have barred women from places of governance as well as the more physical side of actually building stuff, - then they turn round, pat themselves on the back and expect women to not only be grateful but to feel constantly inferior.
As for the 'false image' of Ameircan fatherhood she refers to - It might not be the norm at the moment, but that doesn't mean it's false. She needs a dictionary.
And please can women have access to that bridge to 'elsewhere'? I notice she doesn't actually tell us much about this magical 'elsewhere' but I know a lot of women who'd be very interested in going there from time to time.
