Well, women really haven't. As you said, 1% of men have made it difficult for the other 99%. Women are responding with apprehension because in the past they've experienced another member of that 1% of men stepping up as the 'rescuer' and being just as bad as the first guy. That is not women's fault and we haven't created any environment other than a one of safety for ourselves.

It's still that 1% of guys that make it difficult for the other 99%.
