It's definitely about control. Why else would they pick on 6 weeks as a line in the sand? They know that many women don't even know they're pregnant at 6 weeks, and even the ones who've been tracking, often taken a few weeks to get the abortion organised. Bamn - they're over the 6 week mark.
Why else would they include ectopic pregnancies in the bans? The fallopian tube isn't a uterus. There is NO WAY a fetus could develop in there, and in most cases it puts the woman's life at risk.
But more than anything else - This isn't about babies, otherwise they'd be doing a whole lot more once these fetuses become babies.
It's all about control.
