We must have read a different article. I didn't see any scorn or condemnation here, nor is it telling women to avoid this situation. It's more about having open discussions once a woman has met an older man (married or not).
As for what wealthy women go through - of course they can afford help, no one is saying otherwise. However, most women I have known who have help, are also constantly and intimately involved in the man's care. This is the man they love and they want to be with them, no matter how ill. Most of them don't swan off and leave others to care for them. That's the stuff of Nettflix.
