The idea that two people who want to separate would have to stay together is just insane. Anyone who's witnessed a marriage truly devoid of feeling between the two people involved, will tell you it's almost as damaging to the family as abuse. The indifference is toxic and the kids are often subtly asked to side with one or the other.
