That's why I wrote my book. There are ways to stand up to this type of sexism, but it begins with a mind shift. We have a right to call it out as well as an obligation. It's never going away if we just 'put up with it'

Example -

"He had just told, to our faces, that they didn’t hire women because their employees would sexually harass her."

Next time we hear anything like that, we reply with -

"Sounds like you're okay with the harrassment too."

It might not get us the job, but would we really want it anyway? If enough people say that to the boss, it becomes him looking like a sexist pig as well as the men doing the harrassing. It might change one mind instead of letting them hide behind something they claim not to be able to change.
