That's not much different from the Miranda Priestly type 'lady boss' - they're fitting in with gender stereotypes. As a woman in the workforce several decades ago, the leadership training we got was all based on the traits of the older white guys who'd made it to the top. There was no room for the 'softer skills' that were supposed to be more feminine.
You had to be like a guy to make it - but not too much otherwise they'd start labelling you bossy and aggressive.
