Strong disagree. There have been cultural changes (via legislation) forever. We no longer send children up chimneys; marital rape is becoming less legally acceptable; and so on.

All of these things were "the world we live in" at one point and it took awareness followed by speaking out and fighting for change, to change things.

Only someone who isn't impacted by these things would advise putting up with them.

I am also drawing attention to the exploitation of violence against women for commercial gain. If any of these things really worked, there wouldn't be an increased demand for them driven by higher numbers of crimes.
