I really don’t want anyone to write off the under-lying product idea because it’s a solid idea. Just, as we all seem to agree, a really s**t and condescending marketing approach.
We need to acknowledge that periods are messy (and very messy for some, which can result in embarrassing and upsetting situations). We also need to normalize it all.
We have periods. Shaming, laughing at, or otherwise trying to diminish women for this needs to become THE height of physiological ignorance and called out as such.
But wanting to prevent the results of removing an over-soaked tampon also should be OK to acknowledge. If you haven’t been there (and this is not directed at you), you have no idea of what can happen. I could write a book.
