Just let them get on with it. There can be two outcomes — one is that they re-affirm what you have said, in which case you can smile graciously and say “Yes, just as I said.”
Outcome B is that they either uncover new facts or indeed, discover that you made an error. In both cases you can smile graciously and thank them for their time and effort.
If they see that they’re not getting under your skin, they’ll probably stop since their initial intent is not to help you at all but — to get under your skin.
