I've spent the whole afternoon defending (and writing on here about) the UN Women tweet about Mansplaining.

Apparently that means I -

A) don't care about FGM, global rape, COVID and every other bigger problem on the planet (bevause walking and chewing gum at the same time isn't possible)

B) don't have a spine and am fragile (despite sticking my head above the parapet and taking a barrage of abuse. Go figure)

C) Am a spinster (Just don't tell my husband)

D) Live on my own (I bloody wish)

E) have too many cats (One dog, allergic to cats)

F) Have never worked in a male dominated field (Oh, how I laughed at that little know-it-all)

Funny thing was, they all just reinforced the fact that low level sexism is dismissed and women are told what they can and can't talk about.

But I will keep talking about it, no matter how many eye rolls I get.

This stuff matters.
