Ironically, I've had some people comment on my posts, that they (men talking about being 'allies') would stand up more for women but it's not worth the backlash. Basically, they'd put the effort in if they weren't made to feel uncomfortable.

They seem blind to the fact that they're admitting there is a backlash to speaking out, and women face far worse, therefore need support.
