I'll leave it to you to explain just exactly what we're supposed to be empathising with, except to point out that this is a man's world - crested by and for men. We are asking for equality not empathy.

To quote Kate Manne in a recent "Right to "Equality" podcast - yes, the patriarchy can hurt men, but it doesn't oppress them and men still benefit from it.

It's difficult to feel empathy for oppressors who have created an environment they're now saying they don't like.
