I think they need to go further than just not defending 'banter' and rapey jokes - they need to say something as it's happening. If they're so keen to tell us that it's #notallpoliceofficers then we should see more and more WhatsApp conversations where someone calls it out, but - funnily enough - we never do.

There are some good men doing great work in the UK police forces, but it's a massive job and men (and women) who stand around and say nothing, are part of the problem.
