I think there's a difference between feeling that your body is "never good enough" and feeling unhappy because you're genuinely overweight or have excess body fat (and not just a slim roll).

I always wanted to be slimmer but looking back at my decades worth of photos, I was! In the last few years I've had back surgery which included pretty much no activity for 6 months either side, swiftly followed by a very quick and late menopause. Poundage increase.

But it wasn't just extra pounds, it was having a body that didn't feel good, bits that stick out (back of the hips) and make the clothes that you can still get into look totally different. It's not comfortable to have fat bits, - or back fat! (And again, I'm not talking about just being 'softer' ).

It's OK to be not OK about that. (And I'm on the way back down on the scales and already feeling much better.)
