I know a guy who married a woman who insisted she didn't want children. He treated it as a joke that she would grow out of, in my opinion.

When I met her (after they married), she was still insisting she didn't want kids. They divorced about 3 years later, and you would think (when listening to him) that she had somehow tricked him!

I seriously think he thought he knew her mind better than she did.
