I can't speak to why EE would fear Black women, but I can address your question -

"Why do White women walk around thinking someone always wants them?" with regard to men.

It's presumably not just white women, because all women are far more likely to come off worse when in a confined space with a man.

And yes, it's definitely "Not all Men", in fact, it's not most of them, but the problem is, we don't know which man it will be, and a lot of men (especially in corporate environments) are like wolves in sheeps' clothing.

That is what AOC was just talking about - they have an air of respectability which causes them to get away with what they do, primarily because no one believes the woman.

So while I sympathize with guys who feel the fear of woman in the elevator, I sympathize even more with women who have already been harassed or assaulted (and that's a depressingly high statistic), or those who know how common it is.

Until we can eradicate, or at least greatly reduce, the incidences of workplace and wider harassment, many women will always be tense.

Saying out loud what the other EE did in this article though?

Not okay.
