I agree that this is ridiculous marketing, but back before plastic was discouraged, there were quite a few brands of small bags in which you'd put a used pad or tampon before placing it in the bins.

(The reason there isn't a poopy bag is because poop can be safely flushed down the toilet. Many sewage systems can't take any other items.)

As a very heavy bleeder, I have had many occasions when I didn't just get a little bit of blood on my hands, - it was all over the place. Even to wrap it in toilet paper meant I had to lift it up near the seat, and guess what happened then. It's distressing enough to have to deal with that, and I actually did use those little bags like a glove before folding it over the tampon and discarding it.

So yes, these guys went totally over the top with the concept, but it's been done before. In my experience the bags were just purple.
