Given how much we still have to do to gain equality, part of it will always be performative and "for show" - and that's ok.

As you say, not only does it tell women that we're all in this together, it signals to men that time really is up.

Many women aren't in a position to do more than speak up about everything that's still happening, but the more voices are raised, the louder the message is that Enough is Enough.
