I'm not sure they all do that but what they definitely do is forget about the leg up their middle class life gives them.

Extra-curriculars or extra tuition to help with that college application? 'Help' around the house to allow less time for chores & more time for homework (or extra curriculars)? Friends of friends from the middle class circles to help you get that internship, first job etc.

The list goes on.
